the dawn ledger — an open record

Spire

a tactical card game of siegecraft

Stack your defenders into living towers. Send them marching across No Man's Land. Shatter the enemy Monolith before yours is dust.

fig. i — a spire, mid‑siege. one plinth already cracked.
entry i

Build

Your Wardens stack into Pillars on three Plinths. The Crown on top defends. The Buried below are the only soldiers who can attack — so every wall you raise locks a blade inside it.

a tall tower is a full armory. it is also a target.
entry ii

March

Attacks take days to arrive. Each March carries a Countdown Die ticking toward zero while both players scheme — hasten it, delay it, or pay a step of your own time to intercept it head‑on.

nothing in this game is a surprise. everything is a threat.
entry iii

Shatter

Crack all three enemy Plinths and the Monolith stands naked. One sufficient blow ends the game on the spot. Damage is not remembered. Collapse is.

the ledger keeps no score. it keeps a verdict.
